What is Work My Own Way?
Work My Own Way are here to help Gippslanders with five key services:
Skill-building Workshop - The WMOW skill-building workshops are 2-3 hour hands-on sessions where you learn tangible entrepreneurial skills that you can use straight away. Topics include creating your own website, search engine optimisation, business planning on a page and idea validation. These sessions will have a collaborative learning style where participants will share their thinking and subsequently learn from each other. The result of this is that you’ll not only learn and progress your business idea, but you’ll strengthen your own entrepreneurial support networks.
Business Coaching - WMOW business coaching is conducted by serial entrepreneur Anthony Mayer. These sessions are 30 minutes and provide confidential, 1:1 support to help you overcome any challenges you’re currently experiencing with your business or idea. Sessions can be face-to-face or via phone or video conference. These sessions will not only help you troubleshoot but they’ll give you clarity and accountability to keep progressing your business.
Professional Services Office-hours - Professional services like legal, accounting and IT are critical to help businesses get off on the right foot, however they’re also often unaffordable for early stage entrepreneurs. WMOW offers 30-minute, 1:1 consultations with lawyers, accountants and IT specialists all for no cost. With no lock-ins or follow-up sales calls, our professional service providers offer no-catch advice and support to make sure you’re set up for success.
Meetups - Starting a business is tough so it’s critical that you have supporters around you to encourage you to keep going. Meetups are designed to help you meet likeminded entrepreneurs and business owners in your area so that you can expand your network. Not only does this help you find others who understand your journey, but expanding your network can also bring new collaboration opportunities.
Mentoring Events - The WMOW mentoring events are designed to be short and intensive giving you access to multiple local business leaders in one evening. The mentoring events are speed-dating style where you get to speak to a mentor for 15-20 minutes, before rotating to speak to your next mentor. In one evening, you’ll rotate 4 to 5 times, giving you time to speak to a diverse range of mentors about your biggest business challenges. The mentoring events will not only give you access to a wide range of expertise, but it will help hone your leadership and decision-making skills as you digest lots of advice and ultimately make your own mind up on what to action and where to go.
